Aerial Intelligence · for drone & aerial imaging

Automatically put real property lines on your aerial photos in seconds.

Line by Air projects real parcel boundaries onto your drone and aerial imagery — terrain-corrected, carefully aligned, and export-ready. No more hours in Photoshop.

Visualization tool — not a survey. Built for real-estate & land marketing.

For years, putting boundary lines on aerial photos meant painstaking manual work in Photoshop — and the lines still drifted on hilly ground. Line by Air does it from the drone's own data, so the lines land where they belong and follow the terrain.

What it does

Everything you need to turn an aerial photo into a boundary-ready deliverable.

Automatic projection

Uses your drone's GPS, altitude, and heading to place boundaries where they belong in the frame — no manual tracing.

Terrain-aware

Drapes lines over real elevation data so they follow slopes and ridges instead of cutting straight through them.

Alignment control

Auto-align from a few reference points, or nudge by hand — correcting for any GPS or compass drift in seconds.

Find any parcel

Look up by address, auto-detect parcels in frame, import a KMZ from your surveyor, or just draw the lot yourself.

On-brand styling

Line styles, glows, fills, and labels with live distances — styled to match your brand and pop against any backdrop.

Export anywhere

High-resolution images, animated reveal videos for social, batch export of a whole shoot, and transparent per-lot PNGs.

Plan in reverse

Sketch on the photo and see where it lands on the map — an approximate siting aid for fences, pads, roads, and features.

Reads your flight log

Built for DJI drones. Load the flight log and Line by Air takes the exact takeoff point from it — no guessing on the map.

How it works

From raw photo to finished overlay in four steps.

  1. 01

    Import

Drop in a drone photo. Camera and flight data are read automatically from the file.

  2. 02

    Set the scene

Flat or sloped terrain, and the takeoff point — straight from your DJI flight log, or one click on the map. That's what anchors elevation accuracy.

  3. 03

    Pick your lot

Address, auto-detect, import, or draw. The boundary projects onto the photo instantly.

  4. 04

    Align, style, export

Fine-tune the fit, brand it, and export an image or an animated reveal video.

Honest about accuracy

A visualization tool — not a survey.

Boundaries are estimates derived from public parcel data, drone telemetry, and elevation models — each with its own margin of error. They're excellent for marketing, presentation, and planning, and they are never a substitute for a licensed land survey.

Line by Air is built to be straight with you and your clients about that: exports can carry a clear disclaimer, and our guide covers the drone setup that makes your projections as accurate as possible.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is this a survey?

No. Line by Air makes visual overlays for marketing, presentation and planning. The lines are estimates built from public parcel records, drone flight data and elevation models, each with its own margin of error. For boundaries, construction, fences or anything legal, use a licensed land surveyor.

How accurate are the lines?

On a good shot, close enough to show a property clearly. They can be off by several feet, more on steep ground or far from the drone. Choosing Sloped terrain, setting the takeoff point from your flight log, and shooting higher and more downward all help, and Auto Align can tighten the fit. See tips for accurate lines.

Which drones work?

DJI drones. Use photos straight off the drone, or edited ones that keep the drone's metadata (color edits and resizing are fine; don't crop or straighten before importing). It's developed and tested on the DJI Mavic 3 Pro, with support for more models on the way.

Which computers does it run on?

Macs with macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple Silicon or Intel. There's no Windows version yet.

Does it work where my properties are?

Address lookup and auto-detect cover the United States, using state and county parcel records where they're available and a nationwide provider elsewhere. Anywhere, you can import the lot as a KMZ, KML or GeoJSON file, or draw it yourself.

Do my photos get uploaded?

No. Photos, projects and exports stay on your Mac. Line by Air only sends what it needs to look up maps, parcels and ground elevation, and to check your licence. The privacy policy lists exactly what goes where.

What counts as a property?

One Line by Air project. On pay-as-you-go, the first export of a project uses one credit, and you can export more photos, angles and videos of it for 30 days without using another.

What happens when the free trial ends?

The trial covers 14 days or 3 properties, whichever comes first, and its exports carry a small watermark. After that, choose a plan and enter your licence key in Help → Licence… to keep exporting.

Can I cancel, or get a refund?

Yes. Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime and run to the end of the period you've paid for. See the refund policy.

Does it need the internet?

Yes, for satellite imagery, parcel lookup, ground elevation and licence checks. Paid plans keep exporting for up to 7 days offline.
